It works by taking encrypted, periodic snapshots of your screen activity, creating a searchable visual timeline of everything you have viewed: documents, websites, or chats. The system is strictly opt-in, with all snapshot data stored and analyzed locally on your device, never in the cloud. Access to the Recall timeline requires user authentication via Windows Hello, ensuring only the signed-in user can retrieve content, and you maintain control by filtering apps or deleting snapshots anytime.
